The Wedding of Amy & Patrick, Part Two: THE RECEPTION

Amy & Patrick celebrated their wedding with all their family and friends on July 11 at the Boathouse in Hartford. There were fire trucks at their ceremony, and police cars/horses/mobile HQ at their reception. AND fireworks for both.
I always enjoy seeing my brides again after their weddings, but this was a bonus, seeing all the new friendly faces I had met just a week before.
The bridal party rode into the Boathouse on the Hartford Belle and danced the night away. The fireworks made an awesome nightcap.

The Wedding of Amy & Patrick, Part One: THE BEACH

The story of Amy and Patrick's love story is a great one. As a kid, He spent summers at Cape Cod, she also summered at Eastham, Cape Cod. He's a teacher, and she's a teacher. He's a volunteer firefighter and firefighters are in her family. Especially living in the same part of Connecticut, it was only a matter of time before these too met, fell in love and got married.
The happy couple were married in Eastham, Mass, (Cape Cod) on July 4 with an intimate gathering of family and friends. The bridal party arrived at the beach via fire truck! Lovely weather, lovely group of people. My husband and I had a great time getting to really know everyone that weekend.

The Wedding of Courtney & Nick

Courtney & Nick were married on a beautiful day in June. Well, it was a beautiful day up until the reception, where several funnel clouds were spotted in New Haven County. The rain stopped just before sunset to give the bride and groom a great wedding gift: a bright rainbow.
